Meet the Team
Rachel Taylor
Lead Pastor
Rachel is part of the original team that planted Lakepoint back in 2008 and has served on staff since then. She has worn many hats, most recently as Executive Pastor. However, in June 2022, she became Lead Pastor at Lakepoint.
She and her husband, Ryan, have three adult children, Brenden, Ashley, and Jordan. In her downtime, Rachel enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading, date nights with her husband, and dreaming about her next Pinterest project.
Ashley Fox
Worship Director / Church Administrator
Ashley has been a dedicated member of Lakepoint since 2006, where she has consistently volunteered her time in various roles. In 2025, she stepped into the position of Worship Director and Administrative Assistant, where she combines her passion for worship with her organizational skills to serve the church community.
Outside of her ministry, Ashley is a proud wife to Danny and mother to her son, Beckham. She also shares her home with their dog, Sadie.
With years of experience in both ministry and administration, Ashley is committed to fostering a meaningful worship experience and supporting the church’s mission. Her heart for service and dedication to her family are at the core of everything she does.
Joshua Smith
Associate Pastor
Joshua has been on staff since late 2019. Joshua is married to Amy, and they have three wonderful kids – Sophie, Elenora, and Mia. Joshua is passionate about God and seeing people experience a transformed life through Jesus.
In his free time, Joshua loves to play with his kids and spend time with his wife. He also loves playing music, learning, and eating tasty food.
Currently, Joshua is studying at Missio College.
Daryl Borello
Men’s Discipleship Pastor
Daryl has been in bi-vocational ministry for 30 years, the majority of that time ministering to men from all walks of life. Daryl is an ordained Foursquare minister as well as a certified Spiritual Formation Coach. He is passionate about helping others live a new life in Christ through the renewal of their mind. Daryl’s education emphasis has been in spiritual warfare, and he and his wife Denice often offer classes on the topic.
Daryl and Denice have resided in Oregon for 24 years with their four adult kids, 2 dogs, and 3 “grand-dogs.” Daryl’s favorite hobby is meat smoking; he has won contests with his tri-tip and ribs. His favorite verse is Acts 20:24. Daryl’s top advice is: you have direct access to God Jehovah, people…PRAY!
Brooke McCollister
Youth Director
Brooke has been part of the Lakepoint family since 2008, always willing to step in and serve wherever needed. Brooke joined Youth Ministries in the Spring of 2025 with a strong foundation from her years in kids ministry. Youth group is especially meaningful to her—it’s where she first encountered Jesus and began building the faith she holds today.
A Salem native, Brooke has been married to her husband Kevin for 12 years, and together they have three wonderful children: Lucas, Ember, and Logan. When she’s not working at her day job or serving at Lakepoint, Brooke enjoys quality time with her family and taking naps.
Lindsay Cooper, Brooke McCollister, Ilsa Taylor
Children’s Ministry Team
Lindsay joined Lakepoint in 2018 and has been involved in children’s ministry ever since. Passionate about kids growing closer to Jesus, Lindsay joined the children’s ministry team in January 2026.
During her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband Gerrit and their two boys, Tobiah and Malachi. She also enjoys reading, baking, and working at her son’s school.
Ilsa has been a part of Lakepoint for many years and has loved volunteering in children’s ministry. Excited to serve kids and our church community, Ilsa joined the children’s ministry team in January 2026.
Ilsa enjoys spending time with her husband, Jordan, and their two kids, Ellie and Grayson. She also enjoys reading, spending quality time with friends and family, and gardening.
Saul Espinoza
Sound Tech
Saul joined the Lakepoint team in May of 2024 and graduated from McNary High School a month later. At McNary, Saul began learning to be a sound tech in 2021, and he fell in love with it. Saul now wants to pursue a career as a sound engineer and is going to school for further training.
His favorite activities are gaming, cooking, making music, helping others, and learning new things. Saul is also excited to serve the church and to learn more about God.
